THE LAW FIRM

I successfully completed my law degree in Frankfurt am Main, specializing in criminal sciences. During my studies, I spent a semester abroad at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. I then completed my legal traineeship in Wiesbaden with the Second State Examination.

During my legal traineeship, I worked with several renowned criminal defense lawyers. Afterwards, I fulfilled my long-held ambition of establishing myself as an independent attorney and criminal defense lawyer in Frankfurt am Main.

The firm is located in shared offices with five other experienced criminal defense lawyers in the heart of Frankfurt’s Zeil district.

Initial Consultation & Assessment

You describe your situation, and I clarify the most important immediate steps and the way forward.

Access to the Case File

I request access to the case file and review the allegations, the evidence and any possible errors in the investigation.

Defense Strategy

Together, we define the objective — from discontinuing the proceedings to a determined defense in court.

Representation

I represent you before the police, public prosecutor’s office and courts — at every stage of the proceedings.

§ 04 FEES & COSTS

Transparent fees — from the outset.

Your defense should be financially predictable. I therefore discuss the expected costs with you in advance — clearly, understandably and without hidden charges.

Transparent Fees

Before you instruct me, I explain openly which costs you can expect. You decide only once you have clarity.

Billing under the RVG

I often bill in accordance with the German Lawyers’ Remuneration Act (RVG). It provides the statutory framework; the amount depends on the type and stage of the proceedings.

Flat Fee or Fee Agreement

Alternatively, we can agree on a fixed fee in writing. This creates planning certainty and makes the costs predictable from the beginning.

Court-Appointed Defense

In serious cases — for example, in cases involving serious allegations, detention or where the law so requires — the court appoints a defense lawyer (so-called mandatory defense, Sections 140 et seq. of the German Code of Criminal Procedure).

Important: You may name a defense lawyer you trust to the court — including me. The court-appointed lawyer’s remuneration is governed by the RVG and is initially paid by the state treasury.

Please note: If you are convicted, the costs of the proceedings — including these fees — generally have to be reimbursed. If you are acquitted, the state treasury bears the costs; you pay nothing. Court-appointed defense therefore does not automatically mean free defense.

PROFILE

I studied law in Frankfurt am Main and Gainesville, Florida. During my studies and legal traineeship in Wiesbaden, my focus was criminal law from the outset. After successfully completing the Second State Examination, I immediately put my long-standing decision to work as an independent criminal defense lawyer into practice.
